Funny boy and all over the place

Tyler went down the hall today and then it got really quiet.  When I went looking for him, all the doors were shut and I heard giggling coming from the closet.  I opened the door and this is what I saw.

This weekend we went on a walk down our favorite trail we used to walk all the time when I was pregnant with Tyler.  Tyler loves riding in his wagon and did great on our 3 mile walk.

Tyler has recently learned that he can move his eyes and make faces that people laugh at.  His favorite is the second one down. Here is the progression of his faces which end in laughter.

Tumble Bees

I’ve been taking Tyler to gymnastics class for couple months now and we’re really started to notice a difference in his balance and he’s better at waiting his turn around other kids.  The class we attend is a mommy and me class so I haven’t been able to take pictures during the class.  Well when Karissa was here a week ago it just worked out that mom, Karissa and Morgan were able to come and watch.  Gram took pictures while we showed off.

Here we are on the rings.  When we first started he couldn’t even hold his own weight.  Now he can hold on while I push him and swings from his arms.

We are still trying to hold on to the rope swing.  He loves to just walk off the edge into the foam block pit.

Running on the big long trampoline.  He runs so fast, we couldn’t catch him actually looking at the camera.

Waiting to get his bee stamp.  At the end of class they all get a stamp of a bee and then sing a little song.  All the kids really like this part.

K’s wedding craziness

So, as many of you know, my sister Karissa got engaged a couple weeks ago and they are getting married August 12th.  So, this past weekend Karissa and her fiancĂ© Morgan flew in from California to finalize the big details.  Karissa arrived Thursday and we found her dress by 7 that night.  So, we got off to a good start.

Ty helped us narrow them down

DSC03057We then traveled to Columbia to scout out ceremony/reception sites, try some cake, interview a photographer and pick out some flowers.  So, now they’ve pretty much got the big stuff taken care of.

Tyler’s super excited about being the ring bearer.  I’m hoping he won’t be too shy to walk down the aisle by himself.  If not, we will probably walk together.  Can’t wait to see him a tux!

4 wheelin’

Tyler went on his first 4 wheelin’ ride Saturday with me and Grandpa Herndon.  Couldn’t see his face while we were moving, but he wasn’t crying so I guess he liked it.  He looks so little sitting up there by himself.

Happy 1st birthday Ethan!

This weekend Tyler and I drove to Columbia to spend time with my parents and attend our good friend’s son’s first birthday party.  Jeremy had to stay home because he had to play in the band and work on Saturday.  When we got here Friday, we scouted some places for Karissa to have an outdoor wedding reception.  Tyler liked all the stairs at this place.

And now onto Ethan’s party.  Here’s the beautiful Tierney family.  Ethan didn’t know what was going on and why there were so many people there.

Ethan’s grandma rented a huge pirate ship bounce house.  It had a slide, ladder and small jump area.  Tyler loved it.  I’ll get those pictures soon and update the post with those.

What are they going after?

Ahh, strawberry poofs!  I think Tyler ate half the container!

Now, onto the cake. A little hesitate at first, but the cake was completely demolished in under 5 minutes.

Happy Birthday Ethan!  Hope you have safe travels back to Florida.  Can’t wait to see you again soon.
