As changes happen in your work life, do you run from them or embrace them? Sometimes it's hard to move forward with a change when you don't know all the circumstances or when not everything is under your control. Sometimes that change can be exciting, overwhelming, scary and/or not exactly what you want, but it's how you react to that change that really says who you are.
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
Charles Darwin
“As human beings, our greatness lays not so much in being able to remake the world … as in being able to remake ourselves.”
Mahatma Gandhi
I love these quotes and am trying to embrace the changes in my life and pray that positive results come out of this change in the next few months. I am also trying to focus on myself and what I can do to make the situation better since I can not control anyone else but me....no matter how hard I try.

Forest Park fun
So Karissa is back and wanted to go ice skating so when my parents came to pick her up we went down to Forest Park. They have a really good outdoor skating rink. Here are some fun pictures.

Cute picture of Toby taken at Christmas at my parents house.

This is a firepit they have to keep people warm who aren't skating, it was pretty cool.

Here's the first thing Karissa did when she got to my house - hug the christmas tree.

2 hours later....after a shower, a bath and another shower (I think she used up all the hot water for a week). "I finally get to blowdry my hair!"
Karissa playing Rayman's Raving Rabbids. Can you guess which game?

She's here!
Well, she's in the US and I've already talked to her 3 times! It's great. She's in DC right now, leaves there in 1 hour to fly to STL so around 2, I'll get to see her again after 6 months! Woohoo!
