Well, after our 3 days and 24 hours of driving, we've made it to California. Our journey started in Fayetteville, AR 6am Sunday morning. We drove 9.5 hours to Tucumarie, NM. Monday we drove another 9 hours to Kingman, AZ. This morning we drove the final 5 hours to Mission Veijo, CA. We've already made a visit to the beach. The water was really cold, but Tyler had fun playing in the sand...at least for a little bit. The sand was pretty wet so he could take a couple steps before falling over because it's so uneven. He also started eating the sand and got it everywhere...on his face, in his diaper and all in his hair. We had quite a bath when we got home. Below are our pictures of Ty's first visit to the Pacific Ocean.
My cousin Kelsie got married yesterday in Arkansas. It was a beautiful wedding and Tyler was a hit. He made friends with everyone and even hit up the dance floor. I'll add more photos from the wedding when I get back home. For those of you that don't know me and Ty are now on our way to California (driving) as we move my sister cross country so she can attend Fuller seminary. Should be interesting. Best wishes to Kelsie and Jared Fannon. Can't wait to visit you in Memphis!
Tyler's been taking more and more steps on his own. He can walk from the couch to the loveseat and from the living room into the kitchen. Here's a video we caught of him walking. We're so proud! He'll be 10 months this Thursday! Guess I need to start thinking about his birthday party. Hope everyone can make it! More details to come.
