Almost done! Just need some grass!
Last summer was spent redoing the backyard. We ripped out a deck and concrete patio and replace it with a smaller deck and beautiful stone patio. Last weekend, we finished everything up by creating a stone walkway to get down to the pool ladder and planted grass where it was needed. We really like how it turned out, now we just need the grass to grow and not get washed away in April showers. So, as you look at these pictures, just imagine and pray that we have grass in a month! :)

Saying Goodbye
So, as some of you know, I've been driving a very ghetto car the last year or so. It has a hole in the exhaust so my car sounds like what alot of people pay alot of money to make their vehicles sound like...and the check engine light has been on for over a year. The door over the gas cap fell off about a year ago so now it reveals a bright red cap, which no one can miss (had to get a replacement one when someone (J) drove off with the cap on top of the car.) The sun roof and top of the car is rusty and some mean person keyed the side of my car. This was my first car that was actually mine. My dad bought it used from some guy in Freeburg when I was a junior in high school so we have some history. Well, after the exhaust system went out, it was going to cost more to repair the car than it was worth, so we decided to drive it until the plates ran out since it would not pass inspection or emissions. That date was February 28, 2009. So, last Friday, Goodwill came and towed it away so we can just write off the car on our taxes next year. So, here's saying goodbye........

Beautiful windows!
So, we finally finished something we've wanted to do since we moved into our house and that is to put trim around the windows and get wood blinds. We forgot to take before pictures, but for those of you who don't remember, we had these tasty 25 year old vertical hanging blinds on all our windows. They were horrible and just looked dirty. Take a look at my beautiful windows my wonderful husband finished! :)
