Floatin'

Last weekend we went on a float trip with some of our great friends from college. It was great catching up and just being with our friends like old times. We were just missing the Toth's. We rented cabins down at Meramec State Park around Sullivan, MO. They were nicer than most hotels...except the beds, which were like sleeping on a big rock, but other than that, we all had a great time and took some great group pictures.
Here's the gang Friday night.
Getting ready to leave for the float trip! The float trip was really fun. The Tierney's were the first to flip (Joe almost lost his coozie, which caused the flip). Jeremy and I also flipped later in the day. We got caught in the current trying to get back onto the river, hit a log and that was it. Everything was saved and even the dry food cooler didn't open, we only lost a paddle. Not sure where it went....since they float, but we never saw it again.
Saying Goodbye, can't wait to visit the Tierney's in Florida!!

Arch photos

Here are two additional photos of the Arch (taken from our hotel room) that we thought turned really well.

Birthday, Anniversary and St. Louis

We've had a busy month of May. A couple weeks ago we celebrated my sweet great grandma's 100th birthday. It was great to see the family and celebrate such a big birthday and grandma was a good sport.
Last weekend (the 22nd) was our anniversary. We took the day off and slept in. Then we went to our ultrasound to find out that we're having a boy! We then headed downtown to celebrate. We stayed at an amazing hotel that upgraded our room for no reason and it gave us an amazing view of the Arch.
Baby's first visit to the arch.
We also went to a Cardinals game...And went on the Budweiser brewery tour....mainly so I could see the Clydesdales. I wish I could have one. It was pretty cool, in the stables, each horse has it's own Dalmation and the dog house is even inside each individual horse's stall. We also went to Shakespeare in the Park. Every year they put on a Shakespearean play in Forest Park, its free to the public and it's just fun to picnic and relax. We had a great weekend and this weekend we are headed to the Meramac River around Sullivan to do some floatin'! Can't wait.

It's a boy!!!

We had our 20 week ultrasound this afternoon and to all those who voted boy, you were right! And for voting correctly you get to help with the diapers, babysitting, and potty training. Congratulations. And for those who didn't vote correctly, you can help too!

Everything on the ultrasound was normal and looks good. He does have long legs, but that's not too unbelievable. And he would not stop moving. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Vote today!

So, we thought we'd run a fun little poll to see what you think we'll have before we find out. So go ahead and place your vote in the right hand column. Boy, Girl or Twins? We'll post the answer in 2 weeks!

Congratulations!

Lot's of changes are happening right and we're very happy for our friends Joe and Amanda who recently sold their house in KC (in 12 days!) and found a house in FL. They close at the end of May and we can't wait to visit in July!

Sunday at the races

We had a great weekend. My parents came up and spent the whole weekend with us. Saturday we went to some garage sales, but didn't find any treasures. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and eating some great food.

Jeremy also made his own Topsy Turvy Tomato Tree. If you don't know what this is, congratulations because you aren't sucked into infomercials. Anyways, the concept is to plant the tomatoes in a basically a bucket and let them grow down. You don't have the problem of animals and bugs eating your plants and the tomatoes getting rotten from sitting on the ground. Jeremy came up with his own idea and we're hoping it works. We just planted several different types of tomatoes and peppers so as soon as we see some veggies forming, I'll post of picture.

Anyways, on Sunday we went to the NHRA drag race just across the river out at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL. The weather was perfect and even got a little cold at the end of the day. We saw some great racing and if you've never been to a drag race, it's definitely something to experience.
