We are trying to show you our matching freckles. Mama is very proud that Ty has his first freckle since mom has tons. More proof my baby is like me.

Freckle
7 years
Last weekend we celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years already. We had lunch with some old friends in Washington and then went to Artfest in downtown Washington. It’s a great little town and right on the river. Tyler had a great time walking around and exploring the train tracks, train car and the river.
Tyler fell asleep after sitting down for 5 minutes on the drive home.

Crazy Missouri weather
So, last week it was almost 90 degrees and humid so Tyler and I made a trip to wally world to buy a little pool. For the past 4 days it’s been rainy and 50 degrees so we’re stuck inside. Here’s some shots of Tyler and his new favorite toy…when the weather cooperates. We actually had to move it so he can’t see it from the back door, otherwise he just cries at the door because he wants to go play with it.
He loved filling up the pool. We only filled it up with the hose the first day, every day after that, he asks and signs “more” while holding the hose.
He has also learned a new word since we got the pool. Water, which he pronounces as wa-wa. It’s so cute.

Zoo
This past weekend we went to the zoo with our good friends, Adam and Erin Toth. Their daughter Sophia is about 6 months older than Tyler and they had a lot of fun at the zoo. The enjoyed the monkeys and fish the best. Unfortunately the hippos (our favorite) weren’t in their tank, but we did get to see the elephants, bears and a rhino too.
Penguins!
I know this one is blurry, but it’s just so cute and one of the only times Tyler and Sophia every really acknowledged each other. This is the fish tank, we probably could’ve stayed here all day.
Tyler loves the carousel, so of course we had to ride that. After going around a couple times, he realized where daddy was and we had to point every time we came around.
Tyler did really well, we took our wagon, which he loves! He rode it in quite a bit, even shared it with Sophia and walked quite a bit too. He was exhausted by the time we got home and went down for a nap without complaint.
Sunday we went to Sherlock’s for their Mother’s Day brunch. It was delicious and crazy busy with people. After a visit to the park and brunch we came home and relaxed the rest of the day in our pj’s.
19 Months
We can’t believe Tyler is already 1 and a half! We had some pictures taken the other day and he looks like such a big boy now. At his 18 month appointment he was 30 lbs 2 oz and 34 inches long, which puts him in the 90th percentile for weight and length.
