I pick my own...
We went to a local family farm's pumpkin patch yesterday and Tyler had a ball. We walked through lots of pumpkins and even went into the field to pick our own.

He went right to this squash and picked it. Then squated down to bang it on the ground a little. It was hilarious.

Trying to find his way out of the maze of pumpkins.

Picking out pumpkins is hard work.
Heading out to the field to pick our own pumpkins. This was his first time in the wagon and he absolutely loved it. He just held on and giggled and giggled. He was mad when we took him out.
Tried to get a picture, but someone didn't want to sit still or let go of his squash.
Stay tuned for next week when we'll have carved pumpkins and a halloween costume!

Our baby is one!
Well, we can't believe our little baby is one! We had his party on Sunday and we are so happy that everyone was able to come and we had a great time. We made pasta, soup and salad for lunch and of course had cake for dessert. We ended up renting a pavilion at a local park so we would have enough room for everyone. The weather was great and there was plenty of room for all the kids to run and play.
After a couple weeks a fretting and not knowing to do for the cake, decorations, etc. etc. I am really happy how everything turned out. I ended up making a Happy 1st Birthday banner out of cardboard, paper and ribbon and think it turned out really cute.
Tyler did alot of new things this weekend besides turn one; he ate dirt, discovered sticks and how much fun they are, and received an Arkansas bib from his cousins who went to Arkansas.
I also made cake pops with little thank you tags on them that had a picture of Tyler to send home as favors. I forgot to take a picture and they were so delicious they disappeared quickly. We ended up getting a cheesecake filled cake from Costco. Delicious! And a small cake for Tyler from the grocery store with a little caterpiller on it to match the big cake.

Tyler opening all his presents after a much needed nap later on Sunday.
Wish you were here Karissa!
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the party...which was over 30 people! Thanks for making us and Tyler feel loved.

We made it!
Well, after our 3 days and 24 hours of driving, we've made it to California. Our journey started in Fayetteville, AR 6am Sunday morning. We drove 9.5 hours to Tucumarie, NM. Monday we drove another 9 hours to Kingman, AZ. This morning we drove the final 5 hours to Mission Veijo, CA. We've already made a visit to the beach. The water was really cold, but Tyler had fun playing in the sand...at least for a little bit. The sand was pretty wet so he could take a couple steps before falling over because it's so uneven. He also started eating the sand and got it everywhere...on his face, in his diaper and all in his hair. We had quite a bath when we got home. Below are our pictures of Ty's first visit to the Pacific Ocean.
