Updates

We've been busy at our house. Tyler is learning how to sit on his own and trying new foods every week. So far he's had sweet potatoes (yum), rice cereal (ok), peaches (yum), green beans (yuck), and squash (yum). Jeremy is even trying his hand at making our own baby food and has tried sweet potatoes so far and Ty still eats them. :)

This is his new trick he does everytime we change his diaper. Notice how he wait until the diaper is off before performing his "trick."

We also sold our screen enclosure today. For those of you who don't know or forgot, it was on top of our rotting deck so when we needed to replace the deck we decided to just build a nice big patio and a smaller deck, therefore there was no room for the screen enclosure that was like new. We are super excited to have it out of our garage and now Jeremy is planning a big garage makeover complete with tons of storage close to the ceiling. Updates on that to come later.

I love my peaches!

Here's a video of Tyler being fed peaches by Grandma Gaither. We miss Grandpa! Ty says to come back from China soon! :)

Some of our favorites from the last month

4 Months - almost 5!

This last couple weeks has been busy with lots of changes. We had our 4 month check up and shots. He's in the 70th percentile for length and 50th percentile for weight. Dr. said he was perfectly healthy...well except for the stuffy nose he's had for awhile, but there's really nothing you can do medicine wise when they are this young - just have to wait it out. He also said he is way ahead and strong with this gross motor skills compared to other babies his age.

We started feeding him cereal, which he doesn't really like. So after a week of that we tried sweet potatoes and let me tell you this boy loves his sweet potatoes! He even grabs at the bowl and tries to feed himself. This morning we just tried peaches mixed with cereal for breakfast and he liked the peaches too.

He's moving more and more each day. Loves to be on his tummy and is learning to sit up by himself. Right now he still needs a little help balancing but can do it all by himself for a minute or two. This morning he did something new too, he got out of his bumbo seat while reaching for a toy on the ground.

We can't wait to see all the new stuff he will learn in the coming months.

Silly boy

Tyler started sticking his tongue out as, but always to the same side. We thought it was pretty funny.
